Renewable fuel advocates welcome investment in federal budget

Fuel made from food waste like used cooking oil is no longer just the domain of backyard mechanics... but it's an industry that's been struggling to attract investment.

But the Federal Budget has just delivered a windfall for the sector... including almost 2-billion-dollars to help commercialise it.

Advocates say the investment will help decarbonise industries that rely on diesel or aviation fuels.
